I found this excellent article explaining how cellphones work.
http://db.tidbits.com/article/9796
One very interesting thing that popped up is why sometimes you’ll get a VoiceMail notification even when the phone didn’t ring (and also why texting will work when you can’t call). Basically, text and notifications are sent on a dedicated channel, so even when the regular voice [...]

Well..
I made the plunge. HTC released the Diamond in the US unlocked, Sprint is the only carrier not dragging their heels and carrying it. So I bought it direct.
I love it.
I’ve found that I love Google maps with GPS, I have TomTom Navigation software installed also, and I prefer Gooogle maps. The biggest problem I [...]

hmm…choices choices. There are 4 possible phones that I’d choose between. The HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch Pro, iPhone and the Palm Treo Pro.
I think the HTC Diamond is the closest competitor to the iPhone, but, the Touch Pro and Treo Pro have something the other two don’t; a keyboard.
Specs, lets take a look.

Apparantly, the opening show wasn’t exactly real…the TV broadcast, which most of us are watching, used simulated fireworks along with the real broadcast. Now..we all know our “live” show is not really “live,” which to me is another atrocity, but they faked the opening show as well?

The website who’s slogan is “the art of technology” just wrote a glowing review of MS Office 2008 for Mac. They talked about how pretty it was, how well it worked, and throughout the review repeated the phrase “Microsoft’s Office suite is the de facto standard.” [...]
